Live Texas Music Map

Click here to view a map of Texas musician/singer/songwriters concert dates. The map is searchable by date, artist and/or venue. The picture below shows concerts for Ray Wylie Hubbard between now and next June. Very cool.

The Fun Theory

Volkswagen has the crazy idea that by making things fun, people can be trained to do things that are good for them. I'll drink to that.

Best Handicap Parking Photo Ever

The weather was fabulous today. Bonnie, mom and I met Cory and Jamie and Ava for lunch at Geo Burrito, then went shopping.

We shopped for Halloween pumpkins at the Methodist church, Thanksgiving decorations at JoAnn's and Kohl's and Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks.

The best part of the day, however, was stumbling upon this fabulous site in the Kroger shopping center parking lot...

Thank God for cell phone cameras. You just never know when the best photo op of all time will be given to you like a little gift all wrapped up with a sunshiney-day bow. (Click on the picture for a better view.)

Want to See Something Scary Cool?

A few years ago, Google added "Street View" to its Google Maps. At the time, it was mostly limited to large metropolitan areas. Not anymore.

1. Go to Google
2. Click on the maps tab
3. Type an address into the search bar
4. Click on the little man (where the red arrow is pointing to the red circle) and drag him onto the map.

You might have to play around with it a bit to get used to it, but it's very cool. I "drove" all over Port Arthur last night.

The scary part? I typed in my parents' address and not only did their house pop up, but my dad's name popped up also. I assume this will happen for anyone who is listed in the telephone book, but still. Weird.

Walgreens Rocks

For the second time this year, Walgreens' pharmacy has saved me a butt load of money on my prescriptions just by being observant, knowledgeable and kind. To all the people in the Walgreens Beaumont pharmacy at Calder and Dowlen, I salute you!

Take On Me: Literal Interpretation

This just might be the most awesome thing ever...
