First Thursdays at the Mildred Building

This sounds wonderful. I can't go this month, but I'm going to definitely try to go next month and take pictures. The Mildred Building is a fantastic piece of architecture here in Beaumont,Texas located at the corner of Calder Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard. I hope this is a success.

Click here for more pictures of The Mildred and for a link to the site from which I heisted the above pictures.

Oh, I'd love to go there. I would eat, drink, buy a hat and eat and drink.

Is this a new blog or a continuation of your ever-evolving one?%

Peggy may have told you about this already. If so, I apologize. It weren't much. Katharine and Company was open, so you could get a beer or something to eat. We got both. The beers were cold and the Monterey Jack and corn quesadillas were interesting. The girl who was running the show said a lot of the vendors didn't show up. The ones that did seem to be, well let's just say, extremely proud of their wares. Also, the Calder Street reconstruction project is right there now. Certainly takes away from the ambience. Maybe by next month, they will have completed the road work. You know how fast these Beaumont road crews work.

That building always fascinated me when I lived in Beaumont. I actually went to a party there once, in a private apartment.

Maybe one Thursday this summer, I can come visit and we can go. :)
