It's Baaaaack!

I can't help myself. I love American Idol. On that note, I need help in picking a karaoke machine. As you can tell from my top two choices below, I'm looking for portability. I especially like the orange one because it's a television, boom box and karaoke machine all in one.

The problem is, the more I look, the more confused I become. I can't decide how much I want to spend and and I keep going higher and higher, cost-wise, telling myself, "...for just $20 more..." until I'm in the $200 range at which point I call myself an idiot and walk away from the computer.

Help!

More info on the one above here.

If you're going to get it, I'd get the one with the most bells and whistles. Get the most bang for the buck. If you end up unhappy with the one you get, you're just going to sit around pining for the one you left on the shelf. And you won't ... sing.:)

Serena Joy - I will, inevitably, spend the damn $200.

Yeah, but in the end, you'll be glad you spent it. Just don't go, like, $400.:)

I definitely think that you should bring that when we have my bachelorette party. :)

I have never used one but I would think it would be nice for the words to be big enough so you farsighted friends can easily read them.

I hope I get to try out whatever you buy if I am there for my spring thaw ;-)

Serena Joy - I'll try. :)

Jen - Well, that's worth $200 right there!

Susan - You're coming to God's Country? Hot diggity dog!! You guys are making me want to spend the big bucks now.

What do you want to sing? Don't worry about the size of the lyrics because I'm going to plug it into my television for bigger viewing.

I vote for the orange one with the tv screen. It's everything you need and you need to have everything :) Have fun and sing up a storm :)

Cindy - I'm so confused.

I have said it before and I will say it again - you freaking know how to party.

I vote for the orange one if that matters.

Grimm - Of course it matters. If nothing else, I need a portable boom box with a television. I think I'll buy it.

Yep, God willing and the river don't rise, or in my case stuff turns out okay ;-)
Might hit Austin too for SXSS.

I vote for singing Al Stewart, of course!

I think you need one of these to go with it:

The one that has like all three different things is not the right one. You want the machine that does just Karaoke will probably be the best one. I read somewhere that if it has the "all in one" label then not all of the work was put into the karaoke it will be divided between the three.

sorry that was a comment from DIllon

Also...I'm going to give American Idol a shot this year. I saw most of last nights show....did you see the sister and mom of the Ramones? They were hilarious.

Zina - Oh, my little cousin! You are so smart. Very good point on the karaoke machine.

Regarding American Idol, the auditions aren't my favorite part. I love the performance shows. The "Ramones" women were scary as was most of Seattle.
