Go Astros!
My sister Bonnie, my son Cory, my daughter-in-law Jamie and I went to an Astros game yesterday. I usually get really distracted at live sporting events but this was a really good game even though the Astros lost.
I must say, it would help me a great deal if the ball was a lovely fluorescent orange instead of white. I'm just saying.

Another Trip to Houston
I went back to Houston this weekend to visit Cory and Jamie. That's Jamie up there getting bigger and hungrier every day. We did some shopping and some eating and watched a few DVDs and relaxed, relaxed, relaxed.
We ate at Freebirds which has build-your-own burritos. We also had some outstanding sushi at Sushi Coast. At Sushi Coast we ate a delicious dessert, but we were so excited when we saw it, I forgot to take a picture until it was all gone.
I also took a little video of their dog Oakley which is below.

I Am Going to be SO Rich
I went to Houston this weekend to see my son Cory and my daughter-in-law Jamie. To briefly explain the pictures in the slideshow (below) and on Flickr (check the sidebar), Jamie is now about 4 months pregnant and Oakley had surgery on his knee. Cory's about the same as always.
Now, to explain how I'm going to be rich. We went out to eat Friday night and Cory picked up the check. It sure is cool when you have to fight your kids for the dinner check (although that's not how I'm going to get rich).
On Saturday, we went to P. F. Chang's for some absolutely outstanding chinese food which I insisted be my treat. We had two appetizers, soup, three entrees, two desserts and Cory had two beers. When I got the check, we couldn't believe it was under $100. We checked it and rechecked it until we finally determined the reason we were so confused. I gave up drinking for Lent and Jamie isn't drinking because she's pregnant.

Evidently, I automatically factor in alcohol costs even when I'm not drinking. This is going to be a very profitable Lenten season.

Kemah Boardwalk
I have had a pretty busy weekend for someone who usually spends about fifty percent of any given weekend laying on the couch.
- Mom and I went to Houston to bring Cory and Jamie some tables for their garage sale next weekend.
- Cory and Jamie were both working Saturday morning, so mom and I went to Kemah. It's a beautiful place with lots of fun family stuff to do. However, I can't wait to go back with my drinking friends because there was also a lot of not-so-family stuff to do.
- At lunch I found out there is a drink called a Michilada which is described thusly: Habanero sauce, lime and draft beer served over ice.
- The Michilada is served at Cadillac Bar and Restaurant and it was some of the best mexican food I've ever eaten. Try the fish tacos. Excellent margarita also.
- We left Kemah and drove to Alvin and unloaded the garage sale stuff at Cory and Jamie's.
- We all went to dinner at Zio's for italian food - delicious!
- Came home Sunday morning and "helped" my cousin load up my old bedroom furniture which I sold to him.
- Going to Courville's shortly to see Fred Eaglesmith.

See Ya
I'm off to Houston for a day or two of shopping and margaritas and Chianti and food and, perhaps, some live music if we can find it (?), oh, maybe Karaoke (!) and whatever else strikes the fancy of me, my sister Bonnie and my daughter-in-law Jamie. It turns out my son, Cory, is working most of the weekend which makes it a girl's weekend.
I think I've mentioned this before, but, if you read my blog so you'll know when I'm leaving town so you can rob me, the jokes on you since your stuff is probably already better than my stuff.
Lock up after you stop laughing and be a dear and bring in the paper.
