Neal - I just want to be ready in case I have to fly down to Antarctica for some sort of penguin emergency or something.
Jack - Those bastards better NOT try to keep me out of Louisiana. Anyway, my mom was born there. Does that make her my "Anchor Mom?" At any rate, I'll have my travelin' papers in about 6 weeks. I hope I use it more than I use my Sam's card.
Glad to hear you got your travelin papers:) I'm planning on going to the Bahammas in November. Do I need a passport? Where do I get one? As you can probably tell, I'm not a big world traveler. I kinda like the slogan "See America"
Cindy - I don't think you need a passport to leave but you need one to get back in. (If you need one to fly back from Mexico, I'm sure you'll need one for the Bahamas.)
You will need your driver's license, a CERTIFIED copy of your birth certificate and two pictures (I had mine taken at one of those places you can go to mail packages). Then, you go wherever they issue passports. Here in Beaumont, it was at the post office in the Federal Building.
Oh, and it cost me $23 for the birth certificate, $15 for the pictures and $97 for the passport.
Pokerboss - I actually hadn't thought of that. With a pretty common name like mine, I should have gone forward with my name change before I applied for my passport. I'm thinking about "Laurie Jagger." :)

Goin' somewhere with it?
At the rate we're going, next year you'll need one of those to go to Louisiana.

Priceless, my ass.
Have you checked to make sure your not on the no-fly list? Hey, if it can happen to Denny Crane...

Laurie Jagger...got a nice ring to it.
I really need to get my butt in gear - I still haven't gotten my Ohio license from when we moved 4 months ago.
