The main reason I bought satellite radio (I have XM) was to discover new music. I admit that I get stuck on the 70's station and the various classic rock and 90's alternative stations most of the time, but, below are three singers I had never heard of before who are incredible.
Did you know that there is a punk rock band named The Cramps. I didn't.
Finally, here's a list of the music channels on XM.

I can't imagine that you were unaware of The Cramps. It's good to learn about new music. I've heard Marc and Jesse, but Alice is new to me. I really like "Woodstock" on her myspace page. BTW - If the rumors are true, XM and Sirius may merge soon. Wonder how Oprah and Howard get along?
Here's somebody we love, who we found on CDBaby.com: Danny Schmidt. Oh, and Shanna and the Hawk. I think they're all Texans....
Pokerboss - I can't believe I never heard of The Cramps either. They've been around forever and I like punk music. I would love to hear XM and Sirius merge because Sirius has a couple of channels I would like (Jimmy Buffet, Elvis).
Lorna - I'll check them out. Thanks!
I haven't heard of any of those. Since having Julia, I feel like I'm stuck in a time warp.
We do have XM radio through our DirecTV, so I may have to put that on as my background music instead of my old standbys and catch up.
Leslie - I try to listen to the new stuff every once in a while but it's not easy.
I am afraid mine would stay on the 80's stations.
I am soooo 20 years ago.
Grimm - The 80's were 20 years ago?! No way!!
