Did you guys know that Mike Evans, the guy who played Lionel Jefferson, died December 14th ? How'd I miss that? (You can click on the post title for the story.)
I do vaguely remember seeing something about it very late last week.
It's interesting that he helped create "Good Times". If you remember, the youngest son (with the political leanings) is named Michael Evans. I wonder if the part was semi-autobiographical.

I remember reading about it the day after thinking it might have been Sherman (George Jefferson) Helmsley, but still Mike was smooth in his role.
I never realized he was apart of Good Times as well.
Talk about spinoffs, All in the Family had 'em all.
I always liked "Lionel." I didn't know he'd been involved with Good Times, either.
La Sirena - I thought about the Michael Evans/Good Times thing, too, when I read the bio.
Grimm - I loved Lionel on "All in the Family." Smooth is definitely the word.
Serena Jy - Me neither.
I missed that, too. I liked what he did with the character. He had a softness that was appealing.
Comfort Addict - Very well said. He definitely had a softness about him. That was it exactly.
