Thanks Wang!

Wang Chi came over last night and gave me my first Al Stewart lesson. We listened to Al while watching Monty Python and enjoying a bottle of cheap wine. It was great. Except, I kept talking during Al. I'll listen at work today. It shall be an Al Stewart day at the office.

At one point, we also got our friend Susan unlost as she was driving around Iowa. We had Google maps up on the computer and directed her straight to her hotel. It was the most surreal thing I've ever done. It was also the first time I had talked to her other than by e-mail. It's a strange world we're living in, kiddos.

Thanks Wang, I'm looking forward to my next lesson.

I took an Al Stewart class at the UCLA Extension in 1987. No credit, but the teacher was easy, and I got a B without really studying.

Your blog rocks, I'm going to blogmark it and rate it. Love the whole concept, though New Orleans has decidedly naughty associations for women....

I take it that it's not the "Year of the Cat" and "Time Passages" Al Stewart, right?

Larry - An Al Stewart class? Man, I need that bad.

W. S. Cross - Thanks for the compliment. New Orleans is naughty for everyone. ;)

Comfort Addict - It is the same Al Stewart. Read Mr. Chi's blog for reviews of Al's recent concerts. He still sounds great I hear.

Thanks so much for helping me get unlost in Coralville, Iowa.

Oh my Monty Python and Al! Watch out, that's a slippery slope you're playing on. Soon your be watch Star Trek reruns!

Susan - I've never seen a full Star Trek episode or a whole Star Wars or Star Trek movie. Being the queen of pop culture that I am, I'm a bit embarassed to admit that.

Ok...Star Trek I can understand. I've never seen any either...And I can see movies for free. (that's sad huh?)

But the original Start Wars with Harrison Ford? Shame on you.

But that's not as bad as this...
I had an employee who claimed to know everything about movies. She was a strange bird...originally a boy now a very masculine female...but I digress....She was expecially big on the Oscars...it was scary how much she knew, but the punch line here is she's never seen the Godfather! (something about it beating Cabaret for Best Picture...talk about confused!)

Zina - I might have seen the first one but it was so long ago that I'm not sure.

I sure wish you had a blog. Your stories would put mine to shame!
