Fog

You know how, sometimes you sit on the beach on a hot summer day and look up at the white fluffy clouds and think how lovely it would be to lay on one and float around the world in your little marshmallow hammock of love?

In reality that beautiful cloud of fluffiness is just wet nasty drops of water that flick at your face and fuck up your hair.

I really don't know clouds at all.

I have been hiking in clouds a few times, they just felt like a cold damp presence to me, sort of like a dropless mist. I always imagined that is what people thought ghosts feel like.

I have a friend on another continent who would wonder when they saw the moon and stars if I would be seeing the same ones later during my night.

I am much more a water person so sometimes I stop and wonder where the water the clouds hold has been, its a not a romantic thing, more an amazement of it all.

LMAO. I loved flying through and above the clouds when I worked for MississippiRiverLand Airlines (not its real name). I like the Janis Joplin hair that misty weather gives me. So, there! :D

I've thought about it, but then my inner cynic reminds me of the terror of hurtling through the marshmallow hammock of love and realizing that it's a cloud. Great post.

Nicely put -- you and Joni.

But I DO like it when I'm down by the river on an autumn morning -- dressed appropriately -- and the clouds moistly envelope me within my own private bubble of solitude.

Hi there, I’ve been relying on using Bloglines to do my daily rounds of the blogroll for a while now, it’s a very time saving method but it feels a bit impersonal at times, so it’s a hot Saturday, I’m gonna sit here and visit with everyone, It won’t feel any different to you but know that I chose to visit today instead of just answering an electronic reminder.
Have a good day.
Nice pic Laurie, even if your hair doesn't appreciate it.

Susan - Very interesting thoughts. You should blog all that.

Sophmom - I bet your Janis Joplin hair is lovely. :)

David - Yeah, that would suck. :)

La Sirena - Yuck. :) :) :)

Peter - I feel I should offer you a cup of tea or something. I'm jealous that it's warm over there now. I forget you have different seasons than us.

Laurie-I am working on it, maybe I need to move my blog to an easier one, or go beyond the freebie one at mine.

As I child I used to look down at the trees far below on hikes, just see the green tops, they looked like green soft bubbles, and imagine falling down into them.
