Mmmmm, Catfish!

I promise you this is the last big gross picture I'll post for a while. When someone sent this to me today, it made me think of that big ass alligator I posted a couple of days ago. This fish was apparently caught in Italy regardless of what the e-mail forwarded to you might have said. (The ones I received said it was caught in Texoma wherever that is.) I told you I was an excellent debunker.

Please note that the men are more than happy to be standing in water that contained this monster and still contains God knows what else. Evidently, American men (Texans in particular) aren't the only men who enjoy this sort of thing.

The website notes they practice catch and release so I guess they threw it back. I guess they were praying that wasn't one pissed catfish as they turned to throw it back in.

No one working that hard should look so happy....

no one should toss back a puppy like that. . . but at that size i bet it tastes like chicken, and is tough as a boot.
actually, stuff it, mount it and make a singing catfish, warbling 'catfish blues', or tellin' bad jokes like, one day leona went fishin' . . .

Why do you think it was caught in Italy? I aks because I'm skeptical. Sure doesn't look like Italy, and they sure don't look Italian. I don't they even have catfish here, at least not that size...

Now you're going to tell me that the big-assed alligator was caught in Massachusetts, huh?

Ewwww. The fish is ugly and scary looking but the guy on the right looks like a pretty nice catch (perhaps even more so if he's I-talian!). ;)

Abby - Those whiskers alone could do some damage!

Lorna - Are you kidding? Those goof balls were in heaven, I'm sure.

Sleepy Bomb - Yeah! Singing in a very deep voice like James Earl Jones.

Dr. Sauce - I bet your mom would be thrilled to have that big sucker on her wall.

Rik - On the link under the picture it says Fiume Po, ITA. I think that's Italy.

Jilly - Isn't it freaky?!

Jenny - Oh my God! When I'm at the beach a small piece of seaweed sends me screaming to the shore.

Sylvana - Welcome to the nuthouse! 100 pound carp, pshaw!

Old Horsetail - Yeah, in someone's toilet.

Sophmom - You speaka my language senora.

Charlotte - From what I've read since I saw this picture. There are a lot more of them out there.

Old Roses - So true! The guys always look so damn happy in pictures like that.

Cokehead - Well said.

Mark - I bet those guys didn't think of that while they were standing there in the same water they caught that monster.

You would need a hell of a lot of Hushpuppies to go with that one! It looks like the one from the movie "Big Fish".

Danno - Mmmmmm, hush puppies, lots and lots of hush puppies.

Hey all you guys, this fish (TRUE),
was caught on Lake Texoma, on ,naturally, the border of Texas and Oklahoma, north of Dallas near Sherman, TX. They can also be caught in Lake Rayburn in Southeast Texas where Laurie use to swim in the summer at Boykin Springs. This is Laurie's Mom.

Mom - I found one thing saying it was in Lake Texoma and another saying it was caught somewhere in Italy. I guess we'll never know for sure.
