Do You Think This is Funny?

Carly called me after she got back from lunch today and we had the following conversation:

“I need to ask you if something is funny,” Carly said.

“Brnfh?” I asked (I was eating popcorn).

“Well,” Carly continued, “I saw something on my way back from lunch and I don’t know if it’s funny or not.”

“I’m sure I’ll think it’s funny but you really can’t go by me.” I said, “I pretty much think everything is funny.”

“That’s why I called you,” she said.

“What did you see?” I asked.

“I saw a Federal Express truck in front of a funeral home.”

I had to agree that it was pretty damn funny. I said, “Yep. That’s funny alright.”

Carly said, “I mean, what were they delivering?”

“Or picking up,” I added.

“Could someone not afford the usual mode of transport or what?” Carly asked.

I snickered and said, “Yeah, it’s probably a pretty narrow spectrum of funny, but it’s funny.”

“That’s what I thought, too. Bye.”

“Bye.”

Five minutes of my day well spent.

The comment I deleted was a friggin' commercial. I heard that this happens from time to time but it's the first time it's happened to me. I'm not a virgin anymore. Woo hoo!

AHHHH YES, why does this bring back the memory from my tragic childhood....riding my bike home, hitting a bump or rock in the rode and totally falling head first onto the side of the road....just to look up in time to see my older cousin drive past me.....pointing and laughing.

and you wonder why I was such a cry baby!!! LOL.

This blog gets better every day.

Ever see those "1-800-TBS-FUNNY" promo commercials on TBS? Reminiscent of one of those, only funnier...

Actually, CT, Carly mentioned that commercial to me but I still haven't seen it. Loved your blog.

How could I have missed commenting on the "funny" story---it was funny and eerie at the same time---Just like "Six Feet Under" my favourite, favourite TV show, except I'm a year or two behind because we don't get HBO; I was out at a bar last night with friends who were all rejoicing because we're getting the second season starting in December---how lame, yet stylishly addicted, are we? Zina, isn't it odd how something so traumatic to one person isn't remembered by the other. The next time I fall (there will always be a next time), feel free to laugh your ass off!
