Slowly, I turn...

I'm home from spending the weekend with my grand-fabulous-daughter, fabulous son and fabulous daughter-in-law. My intention was to call my dad to check the mouse sticky disgusting trap thingys before I got home, but decided to suck it up and check them myself when I got home.

The traps were empty and I don't quite know how to feel about that. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of your mouse stories. I am currently spending 99 percent of my time upstairs, which is dumb because mice can, no doubt, climb stairs. To get our minds off of mice for a moment (as though that were possible), here are some videos of The Magnificent Ava.

Yay for Ava videos!

Yay for no mice in the sticky traps!

Yay for Dads who'll still do things for their daughters even when they're all grown up!

And I must say that is the coolest baby walker/playstation thing I've ever seen.

There is NOTHING fucking humane about those sticky mouse traps! How many people go through the effort to release the little mouse? It's cold out there and he's just looking for shelter. I promise you he WILL NOT hurt you...maybe just make you hurt yourself. Be kind.

Just... - YAY!

Diana - Can you say hantavirus? I'll do my best to not harm the little mouse bastard though. I'm not making any promiss.

Remember Laurie, for every little mouse there is a mother mouse that loves it.

I had pet mice for years. I didn't get no stinkin' virus.

Diana - Yeah, but that was your choice. I didn't choose this nasty little critter and he's not in a cage.

Laurie, Mom may be wrong, but I think what you saw was not a mouse, but a Salamander. I had seen some in your garden near your patio. They will climb the wall as you said the critter did. He/she is probably outside by now. If it was a mouse it would already be caught. We had those traps at the Credit Union and the little mouse was caught the next day. One of the guys took it out to a field. What we had to do is found out where they were getting into the credit union and the exterminater guy said it was near the air conditioner pipe. He closed that off, NO More mice.

Mom - That would have been an awfully fat salamander.

You can never, ever go wrong with Ava videos. They are a perfect way to get your mind off the forr legged fiend that climbs walls.

I have a mousetrap with no sticky stuff. It is a plastic box with a lid and a one-way-in metal contraption. Put peanut butter in it. Easy to transport and release mouse. Very cheap at Wal-Mart.

Grimm - I totally agree. :)

Adela - Bleh. I hate this mouse thing.
