Yeah, I can't believe that BK is still actually believing this will work. He's disturbing in a stalker kind of way.

The kids (15-25) really love the stuff. "Waking up with The King" has made its way into the college vernacular. My boys talk about it all the time. He may be creepy to us, but he somehow appeals to them. *sigh*

FINALLY!!!! I've found others who understand my dislike for that thing!!! I mean he's just creepy...now why would I want to EAT a breakfast sandwich from a plastic looking man hanging outside of my window with wild animals on him!!!!!!

From the first time we saw him, my wife and I were creeped out by that guy. The way he talks is just as bad.

I don't know that much of anything is scarier than Pope Satan, Laurie. But this is a good start. Kind of clownish. Scary... I mean, look at his gigantic head. That unnatural smile...***shudder*** Great... not only will I have a nightmare about clowns tonight, but driving by a Burger King will probably give me a panic attack.

See you at work tomorrow.

I think he's kind of cute :)

I think they finally pulled the commercial where the guy wakes up with The King in his bed, eerie grin plastered to a plastered face.
Something just way too... creepy... about that one!

So, if he can't get into the bed, he stares from the window??
Heh. Who comes up with these commercials, anyway?!

i used to work with the guys that came up with the great marketing for bk in the early 90s, all the classic rock stuff. we did the shows for the franchise meetings and it was great, we got the video rushes from toy story 4 mos before release and were the envy of all the neighborhood kids . . .
anyways, i think they are really whack now, it seems w/ no direction or purpose, (other than to fatten us up), and yeah, that bit w/ the king in bed?

Alison - He totally freaks me out.

John - Like ole Darth ain't scary enough on his own?

Jilly - I'm not sure what that means. Pissed my-self laughing?

K - He's disturbing in every sort of way.

Crazy - I could not agree more.

Sophmom - Ewww...that's scarier than the King himself.

Zeta - My point exactly. You have friends here. We feel your pain.

Bill - He talks?

Jen - Sleep tight! :o

Fav File Clerk - That explains a lot.

Hopeful - I'm thinking there's way more coke snorting going on than we know about.

Sleepy - No, thanks. I have a headache.

Sleepy Part 2 - You have had the coolest life!

Ok to wake up and find HIM standing by the window????

Scarier thought, my bedroom is on the second floor.

Can anyone explain this thing to me? I've seen the pictures, but I live overseas and don't get to see US commercials so I don't know what the hell it's all about...

Lone Rangers - Thanks for ANOTHER reason to have nightmares about this guy. I, too, have a second floor bedroom.

Rik - I'll do another post with a link to one of the commercials.

Laurie, where'd you get that picture of my wedding?
