Blogger Down

Blogger had my blog down all afternoon and most of the night last night. It's true I'm taking a few days off from blogging because of my shoulder ( I HAVE to type at work), but I didn't shut down the whole blog. Enquiring minds wanted to know.

Talk to you Sunday, after the prednisone wears off. I already feel a mood swing coming on.

Geez, Laurie, that's too bad. Hoping for the best for you, soonest.

No, don't wave goodbye, not with THAT arm. I know you mean well.

Laurie-
feel better, and be careful. After you get a nice amount of prednisone in your system you can sometimes feel invincable, but you aren't , so don't do anything like lift cars, dogs, grills....

I agree Blog ho sleep as well as sex, warm showers, laughter will fix most things.

Keep the tweezers nearby to pull those new chin hairs you'll grow as a result of the prednisone!

To add to Susan's list--don't jump on any beds! (Unless you're in bed with someone and butt naked and its part of the role playing.)

Also, what the hell drug is prednisone?

An finally...you mean you've been holding back on the us!?!?!

Zina- prednisone is a steroid.
It is often given as a 7 day dose, you start with 7 pills the first day, then 6 the next and so on, so you are basically tapering off immediately.
By day 3 or 4 you have enough in your system to feel invincable, so you have to remind yourself that there is a reason you are on prednisone and it wouldn't be good to make it worse by testing your strength.

Everyone - The shoulder feels much better this morning. I think I'll post some pictures of the pigeon poop on my patio chairs when I get home tonight.

Old Horsetail - I didn't wave to you, I blew you a little kiss.

Tanda - Thanks. You must check out Old Horsetails' blog. It's great.

Blog Ho - I love to sleep and even the pain hasn't stopped that. Calling in to work is a whole different dilemma though. Thanks for popping in!

Susan - Along with sleep, I haven't stopped laughing either. I just can't help it. I'm a laugher. It's been weak laughter, but I think that counts. I am feeling pretty invincible this morning. (Doc has me on 20 mg of Prednisone 3 times a day (60 mg TOTAL! for 5 days!)

Anonymous - THANK GOD YOU WARNED ME!! That would have been embarrassing!

Zina - I've been a clutz my whole damn life, haven't I!

Dawn - Thanks! Have a margarita on me! (Send the bill to Blogger.)

Susan - My doctor isn't even tapering me off. I checked online and it says that's okay if you're taking them for less than 3 months so we shall see.

Sunday, SUNDAY!!! What am I going to do?

Oh, I see, I can read your comments and look at your pictures---I had an eerily similar chair experience; wrote it up---read, read, read. Don't drink wine; some nice southern concoction like peach iced tea or newly-squeezed lemonade. Get better soon.

Never fear, Lorna. New post coming up in a little bit. I couldn't stay away.
