Last night I dreamed...

I know I said I was going to lay off the dream interpretation posts until I had something interesting to post but one of the dreams I had last night was just too strange not to throw it out there and see what you people think.

I was in my childhood home in Port Arthur but I was an adult. It was Thanksgiving and both sides of my family were coming over for dinner. It was 11:30 a.m. and I hadn't showered yet and people were beginning to show up. (On a side note, my cousin from Lafayette who has multiple sclerosis was there and she was chasing after her baby daughter...who is now a teenager. That was pretty cool.) Since it was getting close to lunch time, I knew I had to take a shower and put on some makeup.

I went into the bathroom and got in the shower. In our old house in Port Arthur, there was a window in the shower. I never thought it was weird at the time but, suddenly, I find that kind of strange. As I was leaning over to turn on the shower, I could hear people outside the window. It was my dad's cousin, Barbara Jane (that's her real name, cool, huh?) and her husband Alvin. Barbara Jane was there to fill up the liquid bath wash dispenser in the shower.

I asked her, "What are you doing here?" She said, "I have this wonderful bath wash I want you to try." I told her, "Well, I'm in a bit of a hurry. We're going to eat soon and I don't want everyone to see me like this." She said, "That's okay. I'm almost done. Alvin, we need to fill up the hand wash dispenser, too."

That's it. Then I woke up. If you guys can make anything out of that weird-ass dream, I'll really be impressed.

By the way, Abby, we all know I need to drink and have sex. That's a given.

Popeye - Holy crap. My family and friends are going to freak out when they read that. You have just perfectly described me. I have always felt like an adult even when I was a child. I never did understand why children (kids my own age) acted the way they did. It probably has something to do with my little sister being born a year after me and I became the little helper always trying to make everyone happy. I still just want everyone to be happy.

By the way, my feelings while my dad's cousins were filling up the liquid soap were, basically, "Just do it and get it over with because you're going to do it whether I want you to or not, aren't you?" I wasn't annoyed, I just wanted them to get on with it so I could go about my business (Thanksgiving...being thankful? Holy crap!).

That, my very intuitive friend, is how I always accept help in any form. Which is to say, I accept it reluctantly although I'm thankful for the thought.

I feel like I should be paying you for this.

Wang - Thanks to Abby, that fact has already been established.

I think that you are feeling as if you are the Giver, the person who takes care of every one else. Let me guess...Thanksgiving comes around; you do everything. and even though you enjoy it, sometimes it's nice to have a little help without having to ask for it. Just a guess.

popeye...you really did capture Laurie. It was very eery. I'm her younger cousin and she always seemed very "adult" to me. But in a good way...very smart, independent, very together. I've always looked up to her and wish I could be more like her. Don't get me wrong...not that I've been lucky enough to party with her she's a total blast and more "childlike" now.

But about the dream...maybe you just went to bed without taking a shower or without taking off your makeup....basically I think you should get some new bath soap. Before Thanksgiving! LOL

this is like my third word ver. with more than one "z" in it. How cool is that?

Kimberley - Sorry, but all I do no Thanksgiving is cook the yams, help clean up and take naps.

Zina - I knew you'd like that description. Thanks for the nice words, by the way.

Password: "wefaxua" (That's practically an actual sentence.)

I think the dream was a reminder to rinse your turkey extra well before stuffing it this Thanksgiving.

I think this dream means that *I* need to drink and have sex.

Ed - I have the cleanest turkey in town.

Abby - It's excellent advice.

My theater is a United Artists...also known as UA so that makes your sentence complete.

Zina - Weird! (For those who don't know what we're talking about, my word verifier several comments back was wefaxua. I commented that it was practically a complete sentence.)

(zwueeg - There's your Z, Zina.)
