Current Situation in New Orleans

My new blogging friend Tim has posted a link to a very good article about how things are right now in New Orleans.

Tim and his family are back living in New Orleans and his blog gives you a really good sense of what it's like living day-to-day in today's New Orleans.

I see a new New Orleans rising in the horizon of a new dawn.
I see children playing on the lawn.
I hear the sound of the horns echoing from the Jazz bars.
As I see new faces in new trucks and new cars.
I see Louisiana full of smiles with dimples.
And I can hear the "Hallelujah chorus" from miles.
I am now happy to enjoy my baked beans
As I welcome the newcomers to New Orleans.

I have composed the above poem for the beginning of a new dawn in New Orleans.

I wish you a Merry Christmas and glorious New Year.

God bless.

Orikinla - Merry Christmas to you, too! That poem was beautiful. I'm going to e-mail it to Time in case he doesn't see it here.

To Orikinla, that is a Beautiful Poem. It shoud be sent to the Newspapers in New Orleans, it would make the people of New Orleans feel much better about the future of their Great City. "They Will Rise Again."
