Song in My Head

I hate it when a song gets stuck in my head. I've actually Googled "song stuck in your head" to learn what causes it. Big surprise, no one knows.

Right now, I'm trying to ignore the fact that I have a nasty cold and this stupid song I heard on a cartoon when I was a kid keeps running through my head:

I've got a cold in my nose.
I've got a cold in my nose.
It isn't so bad, though 'cause I feel swell.
The only thing wrong though is I can't smell.

The story on the cartoon was about this little girl walking through the woods and she meets up with a skunk and they become friends because she can't smell. Now, forty years later, the stupid song is still running through my head.

Stupid cartoon.

Get well soon; about the cartoon stuff: I know almost all the words from Johnny Appleseed; I don't know which is worse---to know almost all the words, or to have forgotten some of the words

I have never heard of the song, but I kinda wish I could hear you sing it, coz it sounds wickedly cool to me, but then again I am just a tiny bit C R A Z Y!!! *Astrid holds a microphone to her mouth and sings away* Am I loud enough? Can you hear me sing perfectly OUT OF TUNE? Haha ... Giggles and grins, Astrid.

How funny, I just googled the song, trying to find the cartoon, as I have a cold today, and that song is stuck in my head.

Fish - Hahahaah! I remember when I wrote that post, I was so stuffy. :)

The last time I heard that song it was on "Funny Lady" with Barbra Streisand when I was a kid.

"Went to see the doctor...
Asked him what to do....
Lordy! Says the doctor...
He said "I think I have one too" so,
We lay down, side by side...
I'm still here but the doctor died....
I've got a cold in my nose oh!
I've got a cold in my nose...."

Funny how those things get stuck in your head, yet I can't find my car keys!

Dennis - I didn't know it was in that movie! I'll have to watch it again.

Hi--as someone else who's had the song stuck in my head for more than a decade, I just wanted to let you know that it was from "Poor Little Me."
