While I would love to have casino gambling in Texas and wholeheartedly agree that it should be legal here, I think it's a dangerous issue for the Kinkster. If you're gonna have casinos, you're gonna have booze. The current 2a.m. last call ain't gonna keep the drunks at the slots. So Mr. Friedman will have to address that as well. It's gonna motivate the anti-fun fundamentalists to go to the polls and support Slick Rick. Next thing you know, Kinky's gonna say he's in favor of gay marriage. Oh shit, we're in real trouble now.

The anti-fun fundamentalists won't be lining up behind Kinky, anyway.

His strong suit is his candor and his honest devotion to progressive change and real solutions. Plus the fed-up climate throughout the land.

Kinky's a good man. If he does win, Texas will be better for it.

Pokerboss - It's the kind of thing that might get the apathetic folks who don't take the time to vote to go out and support him though.

Indigobusiness - I totally agree. He never had the anti-fun fundamentalists in the first place.

I was thinking, "This man is as smart as i thought" then I read the bit about increasing the border guards, and my heart dropped into my boots. Granted, I don't live in Tecas, so I can't appreciate the possible effect on Texans, but I can't be happy about anybody who thinks increasing the police force is the way to make anything better. Your bleeding heart friend, Lorna

Nobody is a stronger supporter of Kinky than I am. I worry about some of the things he does because I want him to win. I've long been a fan of his irreverent music and I've read all the novels. I cancelled my subscription to Texas Monthly when they made him drop his column. I collected signatures to get Richard "Kinky" "Big Dick" Friedman on the ballot. I have an autographed firt edition of "Musical Chairs." I think that the people who are behind him are already going to the polls. I want the rest of the state to stay home. I dont know if I can link in a comment, but a myspace blogger has a Kinky campaign tune. It's at http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=81446096 Check it out if you get a chance.
