The Hazards of Being the Friend of a Blogger

Last night, as you read in the previous post, Melissa had a little tumble at the Buddy Guy concert. As she was falling in slow motion, she said one of her many thoughts was, “Ooooooooh nooooooooo, the blooooooooggggggg……..”

In the car on the way home, my sister Terry told her, “Yeah, Melissa, tomorrow people in Australia will know you busted your kneecaps at a Buddy Guy concert.”

Not only Australia, Melissa. There are also people in France, England, and Antarctica laughing at your clumsy ass. Incredibly, I can now perpetuate worldwide embarrassment with the click of a mouse button. Isn’t technology amazing?

Bahaha! That reminds me of so many incidents in which my family has said, "You're going to blog that, aren't you?" Haha! I love it.

Hi Laurie,
I read your comment on Gawilli's "Back in the Day". Our pastor is from Beaumont(actually Port Arthur). He even has a blog. You should visit; he has unusual way of looking at things. His blog is Speaking Metaphorically at http://speaking-metaphorically.blogspot.com/

Yes, apparently the opportunities for self-humiliation in real life just aren't enough for bloggers. Every now and then I read something from my archives and cringe. The mystery is why I don't delete all of it.

Yep, Australia is on line and we are all having a good chuckle, but the thing that really impresses is that you saved the beer. Not only are you a fantastic designated driver, you are a fabulous concert buddy as well!

Yep, that's the thought around my friends and family also. My daughter even mails me items she thinks would be good "Blog Blither". She is always careful to leave herself off the list.

I agree with Neil. Good Catch.

MJD - I'm from Port Arthur, too. Small world, huh?

Larry - I try not to read my archives.

Neil - I do my best. :)

Gawilli - Thanks!

Even Singapore! About the cheapest you can find a beer here is $10 so you did well!
