This appears to be a pure 1Khz tone (which is a C#) at -150db. I didn't hear it, and I'd be real surprised if anyone could hear it. Still, if it annoys teenagers, I'm down.
I hear that sound sometimes in class. Some kids have it as their ringtone, and think I can't hear it. They're always surprised when I bust them with their phones out.

I didn't hear it---not because I'm 66 but because I need a plugin which I couldn't find (new laptop!!!!)
Jen, Peggy and Lorna - Wide variety of ages of people who hear it and don't hear it. I swear, I heard nothing at all.
I heard it, but Roxi heard it more clearly, I think. It was annoying! Maybe this is why I hate shopping malls?? Trudy did not like it.
