I met time and his Darling Wife Saturday! He's as nice in person as he seems on his blog. It was so great being there this weekend. These are just the nicest people in the whole world. They're a little pissed though.

I met TIM, not "time" - I mean, who meets TIME?

My picture here, yes, the one on the right, was taken at St. Louis Cemetery #1, a few months before Katrina rolled in. I've been to New Orleans twice in my life. It's a special sort of place that becomes a part of you once you've been there. I plan on returning by the end of the year.

Thanks, Laurie. I hereby decree that you and sophmom are now and forever more honorary and honored New Orleanians, with all the rights thereunto pertaining. Those rights include:
- The right to walk down the street with your favorite beverage in a go-cup.
- The right to leave the house at 10pm to go see your favorite local band, only to arrive a half hour before they start playing.
- The right to say "Where y'at!" to everyone you meet.
- The right to buy a daiquiri at the drive-thru store and enjoy it on the way home.
- The right to blog, "We are not ok" to remind everyone that the recovery is on-going and will take years.
- The right to pop the cap of an Abita Restoration Ale, take a deep draught, and proclaim, "Yeah you rite!"

Peace,

Tim

Tim - Been there and done that! Well, about half of them at least. I will wear my new New Orleans citizenship with honor and pride. Hugs & Kisses to you and your whole lovely family.
