Link to Beaumont Enterprise Interview
Someone at the Beaumont Enterprise found my blog and called to interview me. This is a link to the article. My bit is at the end (A Matter of Soul). It's a great article about four Beaumonters who have strong emotional, if not biological, ties to New Orleans. Believe me, there are a lot more than four of us here in Southeast Texas.

Wow Laurie,
I missed that in the Enterprise until you mentioned it. That is really powerful. I have strong feelings as well about Gulfport because I was stationed there as a late-teen-early-20-something in the Navy. I learned to love both the Mississippi coast and New Orleans. And I just really am having a hard time seeing everything coming out of there.
