Houston Astroworld Closing

My son who recently moved to Houston called last night to tell me that it had just been announced on the local news that Astroworld is closing.

For as long as I can remember, there have been rumors about Disney or Six Flags opening a theme park somewhere here in Southeast Texas (good weather, interstate highway access, plenty of land). Someone needs to put a bug in someone's ear.

For what it's worth, here's my bug.

I have a lot of memories at Astroworld. That is the place I used to take the kids every year and then I started taken the grandkids. I sure would miss going
if they are really closing. They just lost the one in New Orleans so
I can't believe they would close the one in Houston.

Susan - Some of our best vacations were spent there with you guys. It's very sad. Poor Cory couldn't believe that he finally lived so close to Astroworld and they're closing it.

Six Flags already owns Astroworld. The tickest are listed as SixFlags/Astroworld. This has been that way for quite a few years. One problem is the cost, adults - $41.99, child under 48" - $24.99. A family of 4 would have to pay $133.96 before they enter the park. Then the eats and drinks inside are very expensive. At the price of Gas, it makes for an expensive trip.

Mom - I had no idea it had gotten that expensive.
