The Big Birthday Party

My birthday party was great. I'll post pictures soon.

At some point during the night I hurt my right shoulder again like I hurt it several months ago so I'm not in a festive blogging mood. I don't even know how I hurt it but I have a feeling it has something to do with bags of garbage and/or bags of ice and/or moving the furniture when I was decorating for the party. It's not that I didn't have plenty of help, it's just that I don't think to ask for help before I do things. I just do them. Stupid shoulder.

Hopefully, the doctor will prescribe me some of those groovy steroids he prescribed last time but everything is closed doctor-wise until Tuesday. Oh well, as we know after the events of the last week, it could definitely be worse. Here's to looking forward to a nice steroid high by about Wednesday night.

There is a great over the counter drug for pain called pecogesic. Check it out until the doctor's visit.

Laurie,
Sorry to hear about your shoulder. Here's to better living through medication. :)

Meanwhile, I'm dying to know . . .
Were you surprised or did you find out about the party ahead of time?

Zina and Susan - I got up and too 4 Advil last night at midnight and took 3 when I got up this morning. That's when I decided to call the doctor before I OD on Advil. Thanks for the drug info though. I'll buy some.

ME - I was shocked and suprised about my party! Shocked I tell you!

Old Horsetail - Thank you, thank you! New Orleans will rise again!

Aisha - Happy Birthday fellow Virgo!

I know people like you, Laurie. Me, for instance, lol. My husband says, "stop playing super-woman. One day you're going to do too much and you're going to get hurt." {wink}

At any rate, CHEERS to good medication that will make you feel like a new woman!

P.S. How was the cake? I need details!!

Bonnie - I can't help it if I'm freakishly strong. It's my stupid shoulder that won't cooperate.

Tanda - The cake was fabulous!! Thanks for the birthday wishes.

...all kindsa drugs without the highs. i have an aunt that freaked when i told her i did drugs everyday and hung up on me before i could explain ....)

Sleepybomb - Thanks! The doctor puts me on 60 mg day for 5 days. It sure does the trick. It sounds like a huge amount (and it is) but the trick is to stop after 5 days and there aren't supposed to be any side-effects or withdrawals. It worked great last time so here's hoping. The arm is much better now.
