Don't Bogart the Contact Lens Solution
There's only one contact lens solution out there that doesn't make my eyes look like I've spent the afternoon in the van with Jeff Spicoli and it's been recalled. It's costing me a fortune to find another one that doesn't make my co-workers want to sniff my hair for tell-tale signs of doobage abuse.
My big fear is that, when Complete comes back on the market, it will be the one ingredient that kept me from looking like a pot head that they had to eliminate from the product to be able to get it back on the store shelves. I've had some success with rinsing the various solutions I've tried with saline solution before putting the lenses in my eyes after they've been soaking overnight. However, after a couple of hours, the redness returns.
Bummer, dude.

I gave up wearing contact lenses for the same reason. I wore glasses for the next 15 years until I got corrective laser surgery a couple of years ago, one of the best investments I've ever made.
Wear glasses.
three words Glasses. Ooooops. redundant.
I haven't blogged it yet, but my sister recently came home from a heinous surgery that requires home healthcare. The first nurse showed up with no supplies, asked the kids to find some gauze, and cleaned up my sister's incision with my niece's contact lens solution.
Besides the words "contact lens solution" that had nothing to do with your blog. But it reminded me. I had to write it.
I use the cheap stuff, it's the only thing that doesn't burn my eyes.
Laura - I have an aversion to cutting on my healthy corneas.
LG - My face isn't very glasses friendly.
Lorna - :)
Gnight Girl - I'll have to try some cheap stuff. I'm sure it's some expensive ingredient that my body is rejecting. Evidently, even my eyes are middle class.
Ah, I don't know. Seeing is not all that important.
Have you considered trying to restore your eyesight naturally? Dr Mercola has some interesting articles on his site on the matter.
I personally have excellent eyesight and had never had to worry about it, but I've been trying to get my husband to try some of the ideas on the site, but he hasn't had the time to actually read up on it.
Maybe you can check it out and let everyone know how it turns out.
Old Horsetail - I see what you mean.
Nancie - I'm interested in stuff like that. I'll check it out.
I use that! And I am still using it? Am I in life-threatening danger?
Astrid - Not life threatening but possibly eyesight threatening. If the lot that your batch was made in wasn't recalled, you're safe. You might need to check into it though.
They still sell it here. Need me to send ya some?
Texas Gal - Thanks, but I guess they'll put some back on the market pretty soon. I hope so. I still haven't found anything as comfortable for my eyes.
