Some Nice Quotes

  • I walked a mile with pleasure; she chatted all the way, but left me none the wiser for all she had to say. I walked a mile with sorrow and never a word said she but oh the lessons that I learned when sorrow walked with me. Author unknown
  • The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining. John F. Kennedy
  • Pretend that every single person you meet has a sign around his or her neck that says, 'Make me feel important.' Mary Kay Ash
  • Sometimes we stare so long at a door that is closing that we see too late the one that is open. Alexander Graham Bell
And one funny quote off of a t-shirt:
  • I gave that man the thinnest years of my life.

LOL! I *did* give "that man" the thinnest years of my life! ARRGGHHH!

I just read your "Schizo Mommies" post! It was hilarious! BTDT. I went to work in our office full time when the youngest was about 10 and we used AIM. I kept it on and open on my desk at work and they would log on and let me know when they got home from school. It worked great and helped avoid some of the hysteria inherent in kids self-parenting in the afternoons!

Thanks for the good laughs!

Sophmom - I loved that quote about the thinnest years and the AIM idea is great. I'll spread the word.

Glod - Wow! Good for you!

Old Horsetail - That's an even better quote. Hee hee...

Thanks for the quotes! I love quotes, and particularly that one by JFK about fixing the roof! Wow!

I posted a bunch by George Carlin on religion at my weblog. I think George is more of an athiest, while I tend to be skeptic/agnostic... but they're still pretty great.

Snave - I'm going to check out your blog. I like quotes, too. I post some often on my blog.
