In Laurie's Brain

Why...
do I jump and bitch and moan every time a bulb sputters out when I flick a light switch. I act like it's never happened to me before and that I expect a light bulb to last forever and never go out. I take it quite personally.

Why...
can't I remember to check the pockets of my pants for old Kleenex before I throw them in the wash? I've had a runny nose since 1963 and I've been doing laundry for 40 years. No matter. I still rant like a lunatic when I open the washer and see bits of tissue all over my clean clothes.

Oh, I can so relate. And don't forget those people who can put trash on the counter instead of the garbage which is less that 3 feet away.

It's like me and the sun. It's been there my whole life. I know it's hot. But I still get a bad burn at the beginning of every summer. What is wrong with me?

oh well, i also wonder why i am SO afraid of cockroaches. people around me always give me strange looks as i scream whenever i see a roach. i don't want to be afraid of cockroaches, coz i know they'll always gonna be around. but still i am afraid of creepy roaches.

Pockets are like portals to another dimension.
