Vaginas and such

I have a friend who recently had some surgery done on her girly parts. Before she was taken into surgery, the doctor came into her room and asked if she had any questions. She had been told by another friend that, after this particular procedure, she shouldn't swim or sit in a bathtub for at least a week. Since she had plans to go to the lake a couple of days after the surgery, she asked the doctor about swimming and sitting in a nice warm bath.

With her mom and dad standing on either side of her bed, the doctor didn't hestitate to tell my friend, "Oh, sure, it'll be fine to swim or take a bath. A lot of people think a vagina is this big huge hole that just sucks everything up into it. It doesn't. The walls collapse. Nothing can get up there."

Taking their shocked silences as disbelief, the doctor went on, "No, really. That's true."

When the doctor left the room, my friend's dad said, "Your doctor has an interesting...um..."

"Bedside manner?" my friend asked.

Her dad said, "Yeah, interesting."

Very strange. Was this her real doctor or some fresh intern? If it were me, I would have pointed out that sperm seem to get up there fairly frequently, and bacteria is smaller than sperm.

Usually after any type of surgery you aren't suppose to get the incision wet like swimming or a shower for a certain period of time for fear of infection. Maybe this surgery involved no incisions.

I suppose if she had Uterine Fibroid Embolization but that is a procedure not really surgery. Even with that you are not supposed to resume normal activity for 2-3 weeks.

Susan - She had a D&C. No stitches. After a D&C a person shouldn't use tampons, douche or have sex because bacteria can more easily get into the cervix which has been dilated. Swimming and bathing, however, will not cause the vagina to "suck up" bacteria into your nether regions.

At least he didn't use your word "Hooch-a-rama" (is that how you spell it?) I still think that is one of the funniest things I've ever heard.

Neil - That's probably for the best.

Amlicar - He is a Republican candidate for president but he is unlike other polititions. I can't really describe him. Click on my label marked politics and watch the videos and then Google and Wikipedia him. Yeah, it's a lazy response but that's all I got.

Jen - It seems to have left everybody speechless.

A. J. - Hahahahaha!!!

Lorna - HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Texas Gal - Imagine how I felt when she told me after I had already had two margaritas!!

I suppose the doctor heard so many "silly" questions in his duty time, that he came directly to the point

Nomad - We can only imagine. :)

If nothing can get in there, how's he going to do the surgery?

" . . .Nothing can get up there."

I think I had a date tell me this once. Or something similar.

Miss Cellania - He was referring to after the surgery and he was referring to tiny things like bacteria getting up to and into the cervix.

Inca - HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!
