N-Fuego

There is a fabulous new place to eat in Beaumont called N-Fuego. It's sort of like Subway except with Mexican food ingredients instead of sandwich fillings and burritos, tacos, nachos, quesadillas and salads instead of bread.

You go through the serving line and the people behind the counter add your choice of ingredients to your order. It's a cute little restaurant (it used to be Novrosky's at Calder and Lucas) and has a nice patio in front.

The ingredients are mostly healthy and all of the meats are delicious. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Super! I hadn't heard about this place! So it's kind of like Pancho's w/out the buffet?

I'm *so* there.

MMMMM. We have an "Izzo's Illegal Burrito" here that is a similar concept. It's fantastic. I love Mexican cuisine. :)

Senobia - It's not really like Pancho's. It's really just burritos, nachos, quesadillas and salads.

Ms. E - Me, too!

I am going to try this place. I was going to anyway, but now if it turns out I don't think much of it, I will have lost all faith in your restaurant reviews. Especially Mexican restaurants. I still have high hopes for N-Feugo, though. It is still the Novrozsky's people running it, right? They've always been good.

The menu looks interesting and prices look really decent. I'll have to check it out. Still, it's a bummer to no longer have a Novrosky's in that part of town. It was close to home.

You are off the hook. I tried the pork with black beans and brown rice and a few other relatively healthy toppings and it was quite tasty. It was also quite large, but you would expect that in a seven dollar burrito. I've eaten chunks of it twice, Peggy has had some once , and there's still some in the fridge. I doubt I'll go there as much as I did Novrozsky's, but it's nice to see something new in Beaumont.

Dick - I'll miss Novrosky's for lunch, for sure.

Steve - Glad you liked it!
