The new season of American Idol is already looking promising. I remember being at this stage in the show last year and thinking it didn't feel as exciting as previous seasons.
There are always rumors that some of the contestants have secretly been groomed and planted among the contestants by Simon. Frankly, I don't care if Simon's been hiding contestants in his attic ala Anne Frank. If I'm being entertained, that's all that really matters, isn't it?

As for American Idol, I am completely on the same page with you. :) The Josiah kid is gone, which is probably good - I think he needs to get a psych exam asap. I haven't picked anyone to dislike or champion yet this season - the possibilities are endless! :)

Jen - Yeah, I think Josiah and Kieth (the politician guy) would have been targets for the "Vote for the Worst" assholes, even though they were both talented guys. I really wanted Keith to make it. Maybe next year.
For this year, I'm all about the Australian guy. Yeah, I know it's AMERICAN Idol, but the Irish chick and the Australian guy are my favorites so far. Oh, and I like the nanny chick, too. And... and...and.... Yes, lots of possibilities.
Talent should rule. I used to watch American Idol but I can no longer stomach the catty Brit. Perhaps I could write some shareware for this problem: SimonSilencer 1.0?
Comfort Addict - They've shown mofe of Simon's nice side this year.
I second the Simon Silencer. Although I thought it was pretty cool how he defended the Keith.
BTW, there are 3 David's in the competition. We rule!
Grimm - Simon was uncharacteristically nice during the auditions. He's back to his old self now, though.
