My friend Jen T. who works in Baton Rouge just e-mailed me these pics sent to her by paralegals working in downtown New Orleans. Click here for a link to the news story.

I feel sorry for the Southeast, and feel so good that I live in the Northwest, where we don't got things like this.

Those are cool photos but i'll bet it caused a reaction just like the steam pipe burst in NY yesterday...Scarey shite

Most people were pretty fascinated watching it form. Unless you were out on the lake, it wasn't a real threat to you, because water spouts stick to water pretty much. Can you imagine being out in a boat when that thing popped up? Holy crap!!!

Way cool. I saw some pics in the T-P but Jen T. scooped them!

Old Horsetail - I never thought about it but, other than a volcano eruption once every thousan years, you guys have it pretty good up there.

Jersey - I bet that was horrifying!

Jen - Holy crap is right!

Leslie - Isn't that wild?

Sophmom - I'll have to start calling Jen Lois Lane. :)
