A nice post about car repairs? Yes...really.

Some sheetrock on the ceiling of my garage fell and scratched up the side of my car. I called my insurance company on a Friday and they immediately put me on the phone with their recommended body shop which gave me an appointment for the following Monday morning.

I dropped off my car Monday and walked across the lobby to the rental car place and rented a car. My insurance guy called me every day to give me updates and my car was ready this afternoon, just two days later. It took about fifteen minutes to pick up my car and drop off my rental.

Everyone from beginning to end could not have been nicer and more accommodating and my car looks great. The purpose of this post is so that, if anyone Googles any of these companies and ends up here, they'll know that I highly recommend them.

Insurance: Progressive
Car Rental: Enterprise
Auto Body Shop: Collision & Classics, 550 IH 10 South, Beaumont, Texas (409) 842-2324

I have had occasion to use Progressive and Enterprise in the past and their service is always outstanding. Nobody wants to deal with car repairs, but when everything goes so smoothly, it sure helps ease the aggravation.

I always heard that Collision and Classics did a great job. Glad to know it's really true! Now you just need to come do some reviews of some BR companies and make my life that much easier. :)

I have Nationwide and use Enterprise for the car rental and I am very happy with both of them.

The last body shop I was at to fix hail damage, let someone who was smoking drive it, actually I think they let a pack of great apes all smoking at least 6 mini cigars drive it.

The car looked perfect but smelled like an old filled ashtray. They used a air cleaner and an electronic precipitater to get the smell out.

It's great to recognize when people do good work. I'm usually better at bitching when they mess up than handing out praise. I should work on that.

I came in to say the same thing! Its great to give praise when a business does good, since usually all they hear about are the complaints.

Its like going to someone's boss to praise them, it really makes a difference because it doesn't happen often enough.

Susan - Yuck.

Leslie - It's natural to dwell on the things that upset us. Spread the word when people do a good job. It'll clean up your karma. :)

Miss Cellania - That's so true. I really need to contact these people's bosses. I really can't explain how nice and personable everyone was.

Chelle - Not sure if you're a spammer or not but I even enjoy fake compliments from fake commenters. :)
