Pancho Villa Mexican Kitchen

In a previous post, I briefly mentioned that we ate at Pancho Villa Mexican Kitchen here in Beaumont and that it was delicious. I can now confirm, after four more visits, that the food and service at this new Crockett Street restaurant are both fantastic.

I highly recommend the fish tacos. Don't be afraid. Fish tacos are a wonderful thing. Also, ask your waiter or waitress about their lunch recommendation and you will probably be pleasantly surprised at the response. My friend and I had an amazing chicken entree, which wasn't on the menu. The grilled chicken breasts were covered with a light white cheese/poblano pepper/mushroom sauce that knocked our socks off.

I haven't been back at night, yet. So, I can't report on the bar or margaritas. I'll be planning a field trip soon.

Thanks for the heads-up. And I admire your dedication to research, no matter how tough it might be.

Laurie - This post was a bit painful to read. I have been away from TX too long (9 months) and my craving for my native cuisine is very, very strong. Fish tacos: LOVE THEM. Margaritas: LOVE THEM.

Thank you for not posting photos. I mean it. I think I'll just go cry now. Cheese/poblano pepper/mushroom sauce. That actually hurts.

I agree - it's great. I can also tell you that I have been at night, and I had a top shelf margarita. It was so good that I had two more. . .

Inca - I do what needs to be done.

Lorna - You make me nostalgic for the '80s.

Bee - Oh, my goodness. That's a long time without some good TexMex.

Just - I know where you will go to lunch if you ever make it to Beaumont. :)

Todd - Oh, my! Glad to hear that.

You've decided me on where to lunch tomorrow. Maybe dinner, too. Peg and Debbie are going to some chocolate affair downtown.

Steve - You won't be disappointed.
