Last night was dinner and Jive Train.
Here's dinner...
Here are my beautiful nieces who happened to be in the restaurant at another table celebrating Aunt Susan's birthday...
Here's Jive Train...
Here is a perfect example of a post I did last year about men with white shoes...

Is that dude wearing those shoes as a joke/costume/etc.? Because that's pretty weird.
Those are more than white patent leather shoes, those are platforms, and his pants are too short!!!
I understand that SE Texan men can be a bit strange, but those shoes are beyond strange!
Did anyone ask him where he got those shoes?
Shit, now I really am going to have to get rid of my white platforms.
This makes me think of line from a Steely Dan song (whose name I can't recall):
I stepped onto the platform,
The man gave me the news.
He said "You must be joking, son.
"Where did you get those shoes?"
Jen and Susan - This guy wears a leisure suit and shows up at every Jive Train show. This is the first time he's worn the white platform shoes though. I've never met the guy but, my impression is, that he really considers himself a ladies man.
Larry - I LOVE Steely Dan!
Hey what restaurant is that?
Those white high heels are a killer. I thought I'd die laughing!
Zina - Rio Rita's on Crockett Street.
Miss Cellania - You should have seen them in person. I don't know how he could walk around.
Wow those heels are higher than most I wear!
Jeni - He did a good job of looking comfortable in them, too.
When I get there and see Jive train, I will ask him...
It is kind of impressive I doubt I could walk, let alone dance in those shoes.
maybe he is a ladies man, just for different ladies than us ;-)
Susan - I sure hope you get to see Jive Train in person someday!
