Killer Alligator Caught

One of the alligators responsible for killing a jogger recently has been caught. They found two arms inside the alligator.

The alligator responsible for attacking a snorkeler has also been caught. That just leaves...hundreds...thousands...millions of alligators left to kill the rest of us.

Have a nice summer.

  1. And if you're not hanging with the alligators, bears can do a pretty good job....

  2. Who snorkels in alligator-infested waters? Why couldn't the jogger just run away from the alligator? These things puzzle me. I can't help but think that if people are foolish enough to get that close to a large predator, then the gators are just doing the rest of us a favor by removing them from the gene pool.

  3. Lorna - No good cam come from being around nature.

Neal - I don't know about the snorkeler who was swimming in ALLIGATOR INFESTED WATERS but someone said they saw the jogger sitting on a bridge dangling her legs in ALLIGATOR INFESTED WATERS! This is gross, but if he bit her legs first, that's why she couldn't run.

  5. If they get above a certain size, humans are considered fair game. They need to be removed or killed before they get that big! Gators are faster than people know!

Nurse - You being a nurse AND in Florida, I'm sure you've seen your share of crazies.

Merle - You're welcome! I can't believe the gators were on the news in Australia.

Cissa - Around here, there are lots of crocodiles. I try to avoid those places like the plague.

  9. The problem comes when idiots feed the gators and then wonder why nieghborhood pets start to disappear. The other problem is that momm gators are very protective of baby gators. The pulled one out of the lake in our subdivision 2 weeks ago - 6 footer - moved to to a less inhabited environment.

  10. Al - Holy crap!

By the way, do you people realize that I always get more comments on my gator posts than any other type of post? I think I'm going to rename this blog Gator Country or something.
